TED Talks: Jake Shimabukuro Plays “Bohemian Rhapsody” On The Ukulele

In February 2010, during a live TED event in Long Beach, California, American musician and composer Jake Shimabukuro performed his rendition of Queen’s 1975 hit “Bohemian Rhapsody”. Considered a ukulele virtuoso by his peers, and whose work touches upon such musical genres as folk, jazz and blues, to name but a few, Shimabukuro tours internationally while trying to convince the masses that “what the world needs now is ukulele”.

He describes his love for the instrument: “I’ve always believed that, you know, it’s the instrument of peace, because if everyone played the ukulele, this world would be a much happier place.”
