Television’s Most Haunted Claims To Have Finally Caught A Ghost On Camera; The Jury Is Out On This One

On April 21, 2017, television show Most Haunted claimed to have finally captured its first sighting of a ghost on camera. The show, which first aired in 2002 and is now in its 19th series, was filming at Wentworth Woodhouse (South Yorkshire), a 17th-century mansion built by the first Earl of Strafford, when it appeared to catch a ghostly figure walking through a doorway.

Given that the show’s team had never successfully filmed such a sighting in its 15-year history, presenter Yvette Fielding described the footage as “ground-breaking”. She stated: “We’ve caught so many different kinds of phenomena: objects moving on their own, voices. But this is the first time that we’ve caught a man walking — in what appears to be slow motion up some stairs.”

The footage, which has since gone viral, has shocked thousands of viewers.
