Guy Goma Is Accidentally Interviewed Live On BBC News 24 – Mistaken Identity

In one of my all-time favourite BBC blunders, “Guy Kewney”, a technology journalist, is interviewed live on BBC News 24 and asked his “expert” opinion, being a technology aficionado, on the Apple Corps vs. Apple Computer case regarding competing trademark rights. However, there is one glitch: this man is NOT Guy Kewney.

Rather, he is Guy Goma, a business studies graduate from the Republic of the Congo who happened to be sitting in a different reception area of the BBC Television Centre awaiting a job interview at the same time, ultimately being summoned to weigh in on the ongoing feud between two industry giants live on air. Realising the precarious situation in which he finds himself, he gasps for breath… and tries to answer the question.
