OK Go – This Too Shall Pass (Rube Goldberg Machine)

For their 2010 single This Too Shall Pass, OK Go, once again, showed how much they’re at the forefront of the music-video game, combining elaborate, intricate set pieces and their brand of indie music to create a visual feast for viewers.

Renowned for their highly ambitious music videos, OK Go constructed a Rube Goldberg machine — a deliberately over-engineered piece of apparatus to perform a simple task in a complicated fashion — built in a two-storey warehouse and composed of 700 household objects. The video comprises an estimated half-mile course and is a must-see. Their ability to create and innovate is undoubted.
