Anthony Howe’s Otherworldly Kinetic Sculptures

Anthony Howe, a kinetic sculptor born in Salt Lake City, Utah, demonstrates his unusual yet uniquely fascinating art work. Fed up with things “being static in [his] visual world”, and through having access to an abundance of steel while working as a superintendent at a warehouse in New York City, Howe, a painter at the time, set out to deliver something different, the result being a visually striking, hypnotic art form combining steel, kinetic energy, and the elements. His pieces need to “weather winds of 90 mph and still move in a one mile per hour breeze and do so for hundreds of years”.
